Dietary needs on a Marais food tour: who it works for and who it does not
A plain answer on vegans, gluten, lactose, allergies and pregnancy before you pick a date.

The short answer
The Marais tour is food-heavy and cheese-heavy, and it is not suitable for vegans or for anyone with gluten intolerance. If either describes someone in your party, choose another way to spend the morning.
Coeliac disease
Because of the risk of gluten cross-contamination, the tour cannot be adapted for coeliac disease.
Lactose intolerance
The tour is not recommended for people with lactose intolerance, since cheese and dairy run all the way through it.
Vegetarians and pescatarians
Both can be catered for, but you may not get a replacement food at every stop. Expect some bites to be skipped.
Allergies and pregnancy
Guests with food allergies need to email the operator’s Guest Experience team after booking so the ingredients can be arranged. The tour is adaptable for pregnant guests and for non-alcoholic drinks.
If one person cannot eat it
A food tour where one guest cannot eat is no fun for the whole group, so compare the other walks on this page and read each one’s notes first.
